This document explains the design and development of robotic arm capable of sorting objects. Adoption of robot that can be used by agro processing industries for separation of impurities from food grains (like rice and beans) will go a long way in assuring high sorting accuracy, consumption safety, production efficiency and low cost of production. Robotics system is being used by packaging industries for product sorting and high sorting accuracy has so far been observed. So, system that can guarantee high level sorting accuracy is of high demand. Though during processing of food products like grains in agro processing industries, complex sorting machines are used, total separation of impurities is still not guaranteed. Research shows that one of the factors responsible for high death rates in Africa is poor supply of impurity free food products (especially grains like rice and beans). In Nigeria for example, crude death rate is 12.9 deaths per 1,000 people, meaning that around 2.1 million people die annually. ![]() Death rates in Africa countries are of high magnitudes. Though on global scale, life expectancy has increased and death rate is declining, poor countries, mainly in Africa, record life expectance of 55 years or less. It contacts with color sensor TCS 3200 and various motor modules in real time to detect the correct color object and to control the movement of arm. This robotic arm can pick different colored objects and sorts them in specified cups. This paper presents an application to differentiate colored objects with a robotic arm. This robotic arm can color sort and for that we have used sensors. The main motto of this project is to design an efficient system that pick up right color of objects and put it down at right place to the minimizing the cost of the products, optimizes productivity and decreasing human mistakes. Apart from the Microcontroller we have used Arduino Nano and servo motors, all other components. ![]() The robotic arm we have built in this project is fully automated to do tasks. Once we put our full focus on the thing and even if our thoughts were the same in the at start, we found it rather easy as all it takes was some time and tinkering. Building a Robotic Arm is a difficult process and involves complex programming for beginners. Robotic arms are very usual in industries where they are mainly used in assembly lines in manufacturing plants. In the robotic community Robotic Arm is one of the popular ideas. ![]()

In the wild? It also allows for an opening for further education and illumination on the uniqueness of the rhino. When a visitor can see a rhino keeper personally interacting with our rhinos, it totally changes any misperception they might have had about this animal. How does visiting rhinos at the zoo educate guests/raise awareness about rhino conservation? A rhino keeper knows they are in the presence of the extraordinary and appreciate the sheer luck we have of working with these animals on a daily basis. What makes a rhino keeper so special is the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of an animal that has walked this earth in many forms for over 60 million years. There are about 60 managed in North American Zoos. To me they are the ultimate perception of power and beauty in nature (especially those Black rhinos!!!) Black rhinos are a critically endangered species with only about 5,000 left throughout Africa. What drew me into rhinos were their eyes… They have a special wisdom and gentleness that you would not expect in an animal that has such an unfair misconception that has been broadcast to the public over many years. I was with him for all 21 years of his life, and he taught me things that changed me forever, and touched the core of my soul. One of the most profound relationships that I will ever have was with my beloved Black rhino Mshindi. They are such gentle giants, and each one has their own distinct personality. What’s the best part about working with rhinos? What makes them special? Through all of my 30 years, I can honestly say that my love for rhinos has kept me fighting to make a difference every day in their lives. I have always been drawn to animals, and wanted to have a job that truly made in a difference in the world. The most important message to take away is that people CARE!!
